Smart ID Cards Solving Problems for Higher Ed

For decades, colleges and universities were safe havens of education. Everyone had an ID card that showed their photo and the name of the college. These simple cards would be visually reviewed by a monitor to verify access to various campus locations, like the library or cafeteria. These older ID cards may have also been used for student discounts at nearby stores. But it’s the 21st century: new times call for new solutions to new problems.
