ScholarChip is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace, as well as providing reliable services to our clients. As such, we have shared common-sense strategies with our employees to protect them and those around them from the risks of COVID-19 (coronavirus).
We continue to monitor the Center for Disease Control and World Health Organization websites (https://www.cdc.gov/ and https://www.who.int/) for the most up-to-date information; we share updates as applicable and also encourage staff to monitor these information sources as well.
Minimal effects on Software and Support
ScholarChip staff members are distributed across multiple geographically separate work locations, and also have the ability to work remotely on a routine basis. In the event that employees in a particular area become subject to quarantine (voluntary or involuntary), the effect on our technical and support operations should be minimal. We are well-equipped to continue with business as usual and have implemented protocols and tools to minimize potential disruption.
As part of our ongoing risk assessment process, we regularly identify business-critical processes within ScholarChip that are subject to key person dependency, and ensure that we have plans in place to ensure business continuity should key personnel be unavailable.
Potential effects on Hardware and Supplies
Our vendors and partners in both Asia and Europe have mentioned that there may be impacts as their suppliers’ factories remain closed and others are operating at a fraction of capacity, either because of worker shortages or difficulties securing raw materials to make their products. We continue to monitor the situation closely and will make you aware of any impact it may have on you.
