ScholarChip operates a Web Services platform, utilizing a complete ASP (Application Service Provider) delivery model providing a comprehensive suite of solutions to improve a school’s security and benefit operations. School smart cards (school smart ID cards) may be used to automate a student’s building, cafeteria and classroom attendance. In addition, the ScholarChip platform supports enterprise visitor management, cafeteria Point-of-Sale, security door access and notification solutions.

School attendance is a primary focus. The School District of Philadelphia’s (SDP) secondary schools use ScholarChip smart ID cards to collect student multi-point attendance. ScholarChip supports the real time identification and location of high school students by reporting the last place a student presented their smart ID, thereby assisting school personnel in establishing a school climate that is conducive to improving student behavior.
